STS Aviation Services (STS), a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions and part of the STS Aviation Group, has announced the acquisition of UK-based engine MRO company GT Engine Services (GTES).
Since its establishment in the United Kingdom at the end of 2019, STS Aviation Services has been continuously growing and expanding its capabilities. It is currently the largest independent MRO provider in the UK, serving both commercial and military sectors. The acquisition of GT Engine Services accelerates STS’s growth in the engine sector, enhancing its capacity to offer more comprehensive solutions to its customer base.
STS Aviation Group CEO PJ Anson commented on the acquisition: “We are delighted to complete the acquisition of GT Engine Services. This move reaffirms our commitment to the UK and European markets. The acquisition of GT Engine Services was finalized on May 28, 2024, and the integration plan will commence immediately. This acquisition strengthens STS Aviation Services’ engine maintenance and repair capabilities, increasing its capacity to offer broader services to customers while further solidifying its presence in the UK and European markets.
