Ryanair CEO O’Leary: “Sustainability Goals are Dying”

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has declared that the aviation industry’s sustainability goals are “unrealistic,” adding that both the 2030 sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) targets and the 2050 net-zero emissions targets will be missed.

“SAF is Nonsense”

Speaking to journalists in London, O’Leary voiced his doubts about sustainable aviation fuel, stating:

“I don’t believe SAF is a good thing; I think it’s nonsense,” he said.

O’Leary also predicted that oil prices will drop significantly over the next decade.
