Prague-based Smartwings has decided to restart its flights to Israel. In a statement released by the company, it was announced that Tel Aviv services will resume as of April 15.
Seven Weekly Flights Planned
Smartwings plans to operate seven weekly frequencies on the Tel Aviv route. It was stated that flights will be maintained depending on the security situation in the region and that developments will be closely monitored.
The company noted that it will shape its operations in line with guidance from the relevant authorities by monitoring the current situation in Israel.

The statement emphasized that security conditions will be regularly assessed following the resumption of flights. It was noted that changes to flight planning may be made if deemed necessary.
Acquisition Process with Pegasus on the Agenda
Meanwhile, it was recalled that Pegasus Airlines signed an agreement in December last year to acquire Smartwings. This development also draws attention in terms of the company’s operational strategies.
Signal of Operational Normalization
Smartwings’ decision to resume Tel Aviv flights is considered a sign of gradual normalization in air traffic in the region. The airline is expected to continue its operations in the coming period depending on security conditions.
