EBACE, regarded as one of the most important organisations in the European business aviation sector, has been cancelled for 2026. The decision to cancel the exhibition, which was planned to be held in Geneva on 2–4 June 2026, was announced by the organiser, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).
Decision Announced via Email
EBAA informed industry stakeholders via an email sent on 10 April 2026 that EBACE 2026 had been cancelled. The statement noted that the association will redirect its resources to different platforms in the coming period.
Declining Participation and Cost Pressure Were Decisive
EBACE, one of the sector’s leading meeting points, has experienced a significant decline in participation in recent years. In particular:
- High exhibition costs
- Lower return on investment
- Decrease in the number of participants
These factors have made the sustainability of the exhibition more difficult.
Major Manufacturers Had Withdrawn
The weakening structure of the exhibition became clearly evident in the 2024 edition. Major business jet manufacturers such as Bombardier and Gulfstream Aerospace had decided not to participate in the event.
This situation increased uncertainties in the sector regarding the future of EBACE.
A Rival Exhibition Gained Strength
The AERO Friedrichshafen exhibition held in Germany has gained strength in recent years and has started attracting events within EBACE’s domain. The rise of the Friedrichshafen-based organisation has been one of the key factors increasing the pressure on EBACE.
Restructuring Efforts Fell Short
Organisers had planned several steps to increase the attractiveness of EBACE, such as:
- Developing B2B-focused content
- Increasing networking opportunities
- Reintroducing static aircraft displays
However, these initiatives are considered to have failed to receive sufficient response from the sector.
Uncertainty Continues for 2027
In the statement made by EBAA, no clear information was shared regarding whether EBACE will be held again in 2027.
