Our national team will face the Netherlands tonight in the quarter-finals of the European Football Championship. The match will start at 10:00 PM.
Mustafa Sarıgül, CHP Erzincan Member of Parliament, who traveled to Germany to watch the match, got very angry when asked on the plane, “Which team will you support if we lose?” Sarıgül responded:
“I consider such a question as not asked. If anyone thinks we will lose, including you, get off the plane. There is no such question.”
Sarıgül’s strong reaction surprised the other passengers on the plane. He expressed his belief in and support for our national team with a firm stance, refusing to entertain the possibility of defeat. This incident also resonated widely on social media.
