The ban will apply to flights where Russian citizens or companies determine the departure and landing locations of private jets.
Charter Flights Also Affected
Artur Muradyan, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, stated that these restrictions will also cover some charter flights and negatively impact VIP travel.
Limited Impact of Sanctions
Muradyan noted that most Russian citizens who use private jets for VIP travel hold dual citizenship. Therefore, it is expected that only 5-10% of private jet customers will be affected by these sanctions.
