Turkish Cargo has added its ninth Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft, with a non-stop range of 9,200 km, to its fleet. The company aims to receive three more 777Fs by mid-2026, targeting an additional annual capacity of 220,000 tonnes.
In line with its growth objectives in global air cargo transportation, Turkish Cargo continues to expand its fleet. The company has strengthened its operational power by taking delivery of its ninth Boeing 777 Freighter (B777F) aircraft, which has a non-stop range of 9,200 kilometres.
The carrier plans to receive three more Boeing 777Fs by mid-2026, bringing the total number of aircraft in its fleet to 12 and achieving an additional annual cargo capacity of approximately 220,000 tonnes.
Standing out with its high fuel efficiency, technical reliability, and long-range capability, the Boeing 777F aircraft will operate primarily on long-haul routes, including those to the Americas and the Far East.
Ali Türk, Chief Cargo Officer of Turkish Airlines, made the following statement:
“As Turkish Cargo, we will expand our Boeing 777F fleet to 12 aircraft by 2026, gaining an additional annual capacity of approximately 220,000 tonnes. This increase will contribute to our fleet simplification and sustainability goals and enable us to offer greater capacity to our business partners.
The Boeing 777F is not just another aircraft added to our fleet; it is a strategic investment that strengthens our operational capabilities with its range, payload capacity, and fuel efficiency.”
Paul Righi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Eurasia and India at Boeing, stated that the new deliveries would support Turkish Cargo’s growth strategy:
“The 777 Freighter’s capacity and range will enhance Turkish Cargo’s operational strength and allow it to respond more effectively to global cargo demand.”
Positioned as one of the fastest-growing air cargo brands in the world, Turkish Cargo currently serves more than 350 destinations across 134 countries and carries approximately 2 million tonnes of air freight annually.
As part of Turkish Airlines’ 2033 vision, which targets a total fleet of 813 aircraft, the number of freighters is planned to increase from 28 to 44. This growth is supported by the SMARTIST 2.0 investment, digitalisation, specialised cargo solutions, and expert human resources.
