Record Aircraft and Passenger Traffic at Antalya Airport

On the eve of the holiday, Antalya Airport experienced traffic of 1,100 aircraft and 200,000 passengers. During the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday, over 1 million vacationers are expected in Antalya, with nearly one aircraft landing or taking off every minute.

Tourist Centers Overflowing

In Antalya, which faces the highest demand in Turkey, tourist areas such as Alanya, Side, Boğazkent, Belek, Kundu, Lara, Konyaaltı, Kemer, Çıralı, Olympos, Adrasan, Demre, and Kaş-Kalkan are experiencing their busiest days filled with local and international tourists.

Holiday Rush in Antalya

In addition to the congestion at the city entrances and bus terminal, Antalya Airport is seeing its highest activity of the year. The population of Antalya, which stands at 2.7 million, is expected to reach 4 million during the holiday period.

Aircraft Traffic Every Minute

Antalya, where vacationers are planning 4-5 day trips, is seeing the most intense activity at the airport. On the eve of the holiday, there were 1,100 aircraft movements. While construction works continue under the coordination of DHMI Antalya Regional Directorate, nearly one aircraft is landing or taking off every minute at the airport.

200,000 Passengers Daily

The number of passengers served at Antalya Airport reached 200,000 in one day. The aircraft and passenger traffic on the eve of the holiday marked the highest numbers of the year so far.
