Pegasus Airlines is launching scheduled flights from Istanbul to Damascus and Aleppo. Flights to Damascus will operate four times weekly, while Aleppo services will be operated with three weekly frequencies.
Pegasus Airlines is preparing to resume its scheduled flight operations to Syria. The company’s decision to restart regular services to the capital Damascus and Aleppo after many years is being regarded as one of the most significant developments in a new era of air transportation between Türkiye and Syria.
According to obtained information, Pegasus will begin its Istanbul–Damascus flights as of June 3. With services planned at four weekly frequencies, regular air connectivity between Istanbul and Damascus will regain momentum.
The company also announced that its Istanbul–Aleppo operations will begin on June 2. Flights to Aleppo will be operated three times per week.
Pegasus Strengthens Its Regional Network
Pegasus Airlines has recently accelerated its growth across the Middle East, Caucasus, and Central Asia markets, while continuing to expand its regional reach under its new route strategy. With the launch of Damascus and Aleppo flights, the company is expected to create a new growth area within its Middle East operations.
With Pegasus’ new flight schedule, air traffic between Türkiye and Syria is expected to regain momentum. The Istanbul-connected services are also anticipated to contribute to transit passenger flows, particularly from Europe and Gulf countries.
