HEAŞ announced that passenger and flight traffic at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport continues to increase. While more than 3.6 million passengers were served in March, the total number of passengers exceeded 11.5 million in the first quarter of the year.
3.6 Million Passengers Served in March
According to the statement made by HEAŞ – Airport Management and Aviation Industries Inc., a total of 21,335 flights were carried out at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport in March.
During the same period, 3,661,580 passengers were served at the airport, reaching a remarkable level of traffic intensity.

11.5 Million Passengers Surpassed in the First Quarter
Data for the first three months of the year also revealed the growth at the airport. Accordingly:
- A total of 66,143 aircraft movements took place
- 11,577,775 passengers were served
Increasing Capacity and Strong Infrastructure
Sabiha Gökçen, positioned as Istanbul’s second largest airport, is a significant airport with its increasing capacity and advanced operational infrastructure.
Officials stated that the airport is responding to growing passenger demand with a seamless service approach and that this upward trend is expected to continue in the coming period.
