The Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines (THY) hosted MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed THY’s strategic role in Turkey’s production, export, and global trade goals.
The Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines (THY) hosted MÜSİAD – Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association President Burhan Özdemir and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday.
During the meeting, THY’s strategic role in increasing Turkey’s production and export capacity, as well as the business community’s global growth objectives, were discussed. The Turkish Airlines Board highlighted the contribution of partnerships with the business sector to the national economy.
In a statement from THY, it was noted: “Carrying Turkey’s commercial potential to the world is one of our strongest missions as Turkish Airlines. By sharing the same vision with the business community, we are steadily increasing our contribution toward achieving Turkey’s goods and services export targets set for 2028.”
The statement also emphasized that collaborations with pioneering institutions in economic development, such as MÜSİAD, strengthen the Turkey brand globally and contribute to the “Century of Turkey” vision.
Within the framework of THY’s 2033 strategic plan, it is stated that the airline’s direct revenue target is planned to reach 52.2 billion USD, while the total economic contribution is projected at 144 billion USD. The Board of Directors added, “The contribution of our businesspeople and exporters is significant in reaching these goals. We believe this contribution will grow even further in the coming years.”
During the visit, information was received about MÜSİAD’s domestic and international activities, and the members of the Turkish Airlines Board expressed pride in the international successes of Turkish businesspeople.
At the end of the meeting, the International Technological, Economic, and Social Research Foundation (UTESAV) Sponsorship Certificate, presented by MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir, was accepted on behalf of Turkish Airlines.
The Turkish Airlines Board concluded the statement with: “We thank Mr. Burhan Özdemir and the MÜSİAD delegation for their kind visit and wish success to all our entrepreneurs who add value to the national economy.”
