The C-VIP General Aviation Terminal, to be opened at Istanbul Airport through the cooperation of İGA and Jetex, aims to position Istanbul among global private aviation centers by offering luxury, speed, and exclusivity to private jet passengers.
Istanbul Prepares to Become a New Hub in Global Private Jet Traffic
İGA, the operator of Istanbul Airport, is officially putting into service the C-VIP (İGA-Jetex General Aviation Terminal) project, implemented together with Jetex, one of the world’s leading brands in the private aviation sector, on May 5, 2026. The terminal, to be inaugurated with the participation of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, will be a concrete step in Türkiye’s strategy to take a stronger place in global competition not only in commercial aviation but also in the private aviation market targeting high-income groups.
A 45,000-Square-Meter Major Investment: The New Address of Privileged Travel
Built with a total of 5,000 square meters of terminal building space and 40,000 square meters of hangar capacity, the C-VIP Terminal stands out with its completely independent structure from the main passenger terminal. This separation will provide private jet users with speed, privacy, and operational flexibility, while also creating a versatile area for general aviation and commercial aircraft operations.
The new facility will be a significant investment that elevates Istanbul Airport’s position in the premium segment.

A New Standard in Premium Service: A Seamless Experience from Door to Aircraft
The service structure designed for private jet passengers at the C-VIP Terminal goes far beyond the conventional airport experience. Passengers will enjoy maximum comfort in this segment where time is the most valuable asset, with services such as meet-and-greet at the door, expedited passport and customs processes, private transfer, spa & wellness areas, and personalized à la carte dining options.
The terminal will also feature:
- Shops of world-renowned brands
- Exclusive dining areas
- Children’s play zones
- Workspaces suitable for the business world
- Lounge areas
- Private suites
İGA’s Goal: Not Just a Hub, but Also a Center for Luxury Aviation
While Istanbul Airport already stands out as a global transfer hub, the partnership with Jetex extends this strength into the field of private aviation. Shaped by Jetex’s global FBO (Fixed Base Operator) experience, the terminal aims to position Istanbul in the same league as top-tier private jet destinations such as London, Dubai, and Paris.
