The Lebanese Ministry of Transport announced that the Zionist occupation regime has threatened to target an Iranian plane if it lands at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport. Following this threat, the ministry issued an order preventing the Iranian plane from entering Lebanese airspace.
Airport Control Tower Allegedly Hacked
It was reported that the Zionist regime hacked the control tower of the Beirut airport and issued threats against an Iranian civilian plane attempting to land. These developments at Beirut International Airport have added another element of tension to the already volatile region.
Harsh Statement from the Zionist Regime
The so-called spokesperson for the Zionist army, Daniel Hagari, stated, “We will not allow any weapon transfer routes to Hezbollah, including through Beirut International Airport.” He emphasized that they would take measures to prevent Iranian arms transfers to Hezbollah, warning that enemy aircraft carrying weapons would not be permitted to land at the airport.
Minister Denies: Airport Open Only for Civilian Flights
Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh denied claims that Beirut International Airport is being used for Hezbollah’s weapon shipments. Hamieh stressed that the airport is only open to civilian flights, labeling such threats as baseless.
