A Centrium Air Airbus A321 operating the Istanbul-Samarkand route made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport after a passenger’s health suddenly deteriorated.

According to a statement from the airport press office, the aircraft safely touched down at 08:29 local time. All emergency procedures were immediately activated, and the relevant teams responded swiftly.

Medical Team Responded Immediately

Airport medical personnel provided first aid to the passenger on-site. The passenger’s condition was then assessed, and it was decided to transfer them to a private clinic in Baku for further treatment.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport emphasized that passenger health and safety are the highest priorities. The statement noted, “In such emergencies, all teams work in full coordination, and processes are managed rapidly.”
