Istanbul Airport Tops Europe. First Place with an Average of 1500 Daily Flights

The European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) has published its European Aviation Report for the period of July 1-7. The report indicates that Istanbul Airport ranks first among Europe’s busiest airports, with an average of 1500 daily flights.

Following Istanbul Airport, Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport rank with 1412 and 1407 daily flights, respectively. These two major airports consistently hold top positions among Europe’s busiest.

Istanbul Airport is rapidly progressing to become not only one of Europe’s but also one of the world’s most important aviation hubs. Its strategic location among the continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa is one of the main reasons for its preference as a global transfer center.

Additionally, its modern facilities and high-quality services play a significant role in passengers’ and airlines’ preference for the airport.

Istanbul Airport’s success appears likely to continue increasing in the future. The airport management is continuously working on new projects to enhance passenger experience and further increase capacity.
