Istanbul Airport continues to make its mark on global aviation. In the prestigious “Top 10 International Airports in the World” survey conducted by world-renowned travel magazine Travel and Leisure, Istanbul Airport claimed the top spot for the second consecutive year, once again proving its quality and vision.
Following this proud recognition, Istanbul Airport set a new record on July 18, with 1,695 air traffic movements — the highest daily number of flights since its opening.

In a statement by İGA management, it was emphasised that this double achievement is more than just an award or statistic. It represents Türkiye’s strong presence in the global aviation arena, the support of industry stakeholders, and the dedicated efforts of the İGA family.
İGA CEO Selahattin Bilgen extended his gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, all stakeholders, and every employee who contributed to this success. He highlighted that Istanbul Airport is no longer just an airport, but a globally recognised world-class brand.
