According to the “European Aviation Report” published by EUROCONTROL, Istanbul Airport ranked first across Europe with an average of 1,436 daily flights during the specified dates.

According to the report, Istanbul was followed by Europe’s leading airports:
- Amsterdam Schiphol Airport – 1,280 flights
- London Heathrow Airport – 1,266 flights
- Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport – 1,261 flights
- Madrid Barajas Airport – 1,230 flights
