India: We Shot Down 6 Pakistani Military Aircraft from 300 km Away Using the S-400 Missile System. Pakistan Denies the Claims

The Indian Air Force has announced that during clashes in May, it shot down five fighter jets and one large military aircraft using the S-400 air defence system. Pakistan has firmly denied India’s claims, stating that not a single aircraft was destroyed.

Claim of a Hit from 300 Kilometres with the S-400

According to Al Arabiya, Indian Air Force Chief Amar Preet Singh said that most of the Pakistani aircraft were hit by the Russian-made S-400 surface-to-air missile system. Singh claimed that among the downed aircraft was a reconnaissance plane that was destroyed from a distance of 300 kilometres.

F-16s and Air Base Strikes

Singh did not specify which fighter jets were hit but alleged that F-16 fighter jets located in hangars at two air bases in southeastern Pakistan were struck.

Strong Denial from Pakistan

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif completely rejected India’s claims, stating: “Not a single Pakistani aircraft has been shot down or destroyed,” and argued that New Delhi’s statements did not reflect the truth.

The Most Serious Clash in Recent Years

India’s claim marks the first official statement following the most serious military tension between the two countries in decades. Experts say this war of words between the two nuclear powers signals a critical period for regional security.
