Due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, there is ongoing activity at Istanbul Airport. Today, 1,598 flights are scheduled, with 259,321 passengers expected to use the airport.
Pre-Holiday Crowds at the Airport
On the eve of the holiday, Istanbul Airport experienced a surge in passengers as many citizens planned to spend their holiday outside Istanbul. Queues formed at the x-ray checkpoints at the terminal entrance. IGA teams are keeping the entrance gates and x-ray machines open to facilitate faster passage for passengers.

Passenger Perspectives on Airport Experience
Commenting on the airport crowd, Neslihan Tarakçı said, “The airport is incredibly busy. We are lucky to have bought our tickets a month ago. Happy holidays to everyone.” Selma Ekşi added, “We are going to Edremit to spend the holiday with my sister. I wish everyone a happy holiday.”
