Boeing Announces Largest Landing Gear Exchange Agreement in Its History at Singapore Airshow

Boeing announced at the Singapore Airshow its largest landing gear exchange contract in history with the Singapore Airlines Group, covering more than 75 737 MAX and 787 aircraft.

One of the leading companies in the global aviation industry, Boeing announced at the Singapore Airshow that it has signed the largest landing gear exchange contract in the company’s history. Under the agreement, Boeing will carry out landing gear replacement for more than 75 aircraft consisting of 737 MAX and 787 models operated by the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group.

Operational Efficiency and Flexible Maintenance Planning

Boeing’s Landing Gear Exchange Program optimizes the service life of landing gear while minimizing aircraft ground time caused by maintenance. The program contributes to uninterrupted operations in dense flight networks by offering carriers flexibility in maintenance planning.

William Ampofo, Senior Vice President of Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain at Boeing Global Services, made the following statements regarding the agreement:

“Our relationship with the SIA Group is based on delivering reliable solutions. By combining our global inventory and rapid distribution capabilities with the carrier’s maintenance planning, we ensure parts are delivered closer to operations and more quickly. This approach reduces downtime while supporting consistent and reliable service.”

Strategic Advantage in Spare Parts Management

Thanks to the program, airlines reduce the need to keep large volumes of spare parts in stock while minimizing maintenance-related operational disruptions. This agreement by Boeing stands out as a strategic step complementing its extensive aftermarket services portfolio, which includes parts distribution, repair management, and logistics solutions.
