Globus Expands Asia & Africa Portfolio for 2027

Globus is expanding its Asia and Africa portfolio for 2027 with a line-up of all-new Small Group Discovery tours, alongside more than two dozen new itinerary variations featuring city stays, beach escapes and destination extensions across many of its Asia and Africa vacations.

Headlining the 2027 lineup are four all-new itineraries:

  • 13-day Legacy of Japan with Hokkaido: Traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto, it combines Japan’s major cities with lesser-visited destinations in Hokkaido and the country’s mountain regions. Highlights include guided sightseeing in Tokyo by subway; a visit to Sapporo and the Upopoy National Ainu Museum and Park; a sake tasting, soba-making class and maiko performance in Tendo; a Shinkansen (bullet train) journey to Kanazawa for Kenroku-en Garden and a gold leaf craft experience; a woodcarving workshop in the village of Inami; and time in Kyoto, including a visit to the Golden Pavilion.
  • 13-day Kenya & Tanzania Safari Expedition: Guests visit six national parks, reserves and conservancies in custom-built safari vehicles, with opportunities to see the Big Five as well as endangered giraffes. The itinerary also includes bush meals and visits with local tribal communities.
  • 13-day Namibia: Land of Contrasts with Johannesburg: Combining stays in Johannesburg with visits to Namibia’s Sossusvlei dunes, Swakopmund and Etosha National Park. The tour also includes opportunities to learn about Indigenous cultures and spot wildlife, including desert-adapted elephants.
  • 12-day Sri Lanka: Ancient Capitals & Wild Kingdoms: The itinerary includes visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Sigiriya Rock Fortress and historic temples, along with elephant safaris, a rail journey through Sri Lanka’s tea country and visits to local villages.
  • “When you’ve traveled halfway around the world, every extra day matters,” said Steve Born, CMO for the Globus family of brands, in a media statement. “Asia and Africa are destinations that reward travelers who slow down and stay awhile. They’re also places where touring truly shines. We handle every detail – from transportation and hotels to insider experiences and local experts—so our guests can spend less time figuring things out and more time being fully present in the places they’ve dreamed of seeing.”

For 2027, Globus is adding more pre- and post-tour options across Asia and Africa. In Asia, Visions of Japan now offers seven itinerary variations that incorporate Hiroshima, Osaka and/or Seoul; Majestic Japan adds three new options featuring Seoul, Osaka or both; Discover South Korea now includes extensions to Tokyo, a grand tour of Japan or Jeju Island; and Timeless India expands with five new combinations that include Dubai, Mumbai, Udaipur and Kathmandu. In Africa, Kenya: A Classic Safari adds options for a Nairobi stay, a Mombasa beach extension or both, while Kenya & Tanzania: The Safari Experience now includes Nairobi, Zanzibar and Uganda gorilla trekking.

Cosmos, too, is expanding its Asia and Africa portfolio with the new Essential China itinerary, featuring Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu and Shanghai with an optional Hong Kong extension, as well as new tour variations that add Seoul to Classic Japan, Goa or Sri Lanka to Best of India, and Nairobi and Mombasa to On Safari in Kenya.
