International flights in Iran, which had been suspended for a long time, are resuming. Following the attacks carried out by the US and Israel on February 28, civil aviation operations that were halted are being gradually reactivated, with the first international flight expected to be to Türkiye.
First Route: Mashhad–Istanbul Flight
It has been reported that the first flight to resume from Iran to Türkiye will be operated on the Mashhad–Istanbul route. According to information on online ticket sales platforms, the process is being restructured with permits issued by the Iran Civil Aviation Organization.
In this context, it is stated that flights departing from Mashhad International Airport have been reopened, with the first flight scheduled for Tuesday at 07:00 local time. The destination has been identified as Istanbul Airport.
Complete Halt After the Attacks
Following the attacks at the end of February, it is known that some airports in Iran were damaged, leading to the temporary suspension of all international flights. This process significantly disrupted both regional air traffic and Iran’s external connectivity.
