Istanbul Airport has once again risen to the top as Europe’s leading airport with its performance in February. According to the European Air Traffic Operations Report published by Eurocontrol, Istanbul Airport recorded an average of 1,305 flights per day, securing the title of Europe’s busiest airport.
Surpassing Amsterdam and London
As per February 2025 data, İGA Istanbul Airport outperformed some of Europe’s busiest airports, including Amsterdam Schiphol and London Heathrow, claiming the top spot on the list. The report highlighted the steady increase in air traffic at Istanbul Airport.
