On AJet flight VF-3126 from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Dalaman, a pregnant passenger suddenly fell ill and had a miscarriage shortly before takeoff. The incident led to intense coordination and emergency response both on the plane and in the control tower.
As soon as it was determined that the passenger was experiencing complications and had miscarried, the pilot contacted Sabiha Gökçen Air Traffic Control Center to report the situation. The aircraft was then directed to a parking position, and a medical team and ambulance were promptly dispatched. The pilot and cabin crew worked swiftly and in coordination to ensure the passenger was transported to the hospital urgently.
The communication between the pilot and the control tower during the incident was as follows:
Pilot: Sir, we are at parking position 301. One of our passengers, who is pregnant, has reported a miscarriage to our staff.
Tower: You are at 301, is that confirmed?
Pilot: Confirmed, we will request an ambulance.
Tower: Understood, relaying immediately.
Pilot: Thank you.
Tower: Can we get the seat number? Is it near the front door or the rear door?
Pilot: Sir, the passenger is waiting near the rear door.
Tower: Rear door understood.
The passenger was quickly transported to the hospital with the swift arrival of the medical team and ambulance.
