US-based aviation asset management platform Crestone Air Partners has incorporated into its portfolio two Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by Turkish Airlines (THY) under financial lease arrangements. It was reported that the acquisition was completed just before 1 January 2026.
According to an update shared by Crestone Air Partners on LinkedIn, the aircraft added to the portfolio were manufactured in 2016. The registration and manufacturer serial numbers of the aircraft were disclosed as TC-JVR (MSN 60030) and TC-JVU (MSN 60022). Cirium fleet data reveal that these two aircraft are Crestone’s only assets leased to Turkish Airlines. Prior to the acquisition, the aircraft were part of the Orix Aviation portfolio.

Strategic growth in the single-aisle segment
This acquisition is regarded as a significant move strengthening Crestone Air Partners’ investments in the single-aisle aircraft segment. The company stands out as a platform specialising in the trading and leasing of mature, second-hand aircraft, particularly in the secondary market.
It is known that Crestone has been rapidly expanding its portfolio within the scope of its strategic partnership with Blue Owl Capital. In the latter part of 2025, the company was also involved in an aircraft package financed by MUFG, which included Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased to Jet2 and Turkish Airlines.
The critical role of the 737-800s in THY operations
Within the Turkish Airlines fleet, Boeing 737-800 aircraft are used extensively, particularly on medium-haul routes. It is stated that these aircraft, noted for their high load factors and operational efficiency, remain seamlessly integrated into the THY fleet under long-term lease agreements, despite having been acquired by Crestone.
