HONG KONG – September 18, 2024 – China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (the Company) has taken a significant step towards optimizing its fleet structure and increasing the proportion of next-generation aircraft with advanced technologies. On September 18, 2024, the Company’s Board of Directors announced that, together with its wholly-owned subsidiary, CDB Aviation Lease Finance DAC (CDBALF), it signed aircraft purchase agreements with The Boeing Company (the Seller) for the acquisition of fifty (50) Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft.
This strategic purchase is part of the Company’s plan to transition to more fuel-efficient and market-penetrating next-generation aircraft. The Company and CDBALF expect the delivery of these aircraft to take place between 2028 and 2031.
