Celebrity River Cruises has opened bookings for a new collection of guided land programs that guests can add before or after their European river cruises, expanding the vacation options available as the brand prepares to launch its inaugural river cruise season.
The two- and three-night Before and After Stays are designed to complement river cruise itineraries with guided experiences in some of Europe’s most popular gateway cities. Programs in Prague and Budapest will debut with the 2027 season, while Amsterdam and Lausanne will be added in 2028.
Extending the River Cruise Experience
Each itinerary combines premium hotel accommodations with locally led excursions, daily breakfast and transfers between the hotel and ship. Guests can choose from multiple themed tours each day, with experiences focused on local history, food, art and culture. The small-group excursions are led by local experts and are intended to provide a deeper connection to each destination beyond traditional sightseeing.
The land programs are fully packaged, allowing travelers to book their accommodations, transfers and guided experiences as part of their overall river cruise vacation rather than arranging them independently.
The announcement comes as Celebrity River Cruises continues building its European river cruise portfolio ahead of its launch. The line plans to operate 33 sailings in 2027 before expanding to 160 departures in 2028, visiting more than 50 destinations along the Rhine and Danube rivers.
Bookings for the 2027 and 2028 Before and After Stays are now open.
