The Ministry of National Defence (MSB) has announced that a significant stage has been completed in the ongoing investigation into the C-130 military cargo aircraft that crashed on the Azerbaijan–Georgia border on 11 November. According to the ministry’s statement, the accident investigation team that carried out detailed examinations at the crash site has completed its work and returned to Türkiye.
The MSB’s written statement included the following:
“Our accident investigation team, which completed its examinations of the wreckage of our C-130 military cargo aircraft that crashed on the Azerbaijan–Georgia border on 11 November, has returned to our country. The transfer of the wreckage parts to our 2nd Main Maintenance Factory Directorate in Kayseri is ongoing.”
It was noted that once the wreckage transfer is completed, the technical evaluation process will continue at the relevant unit in Kayseri.
