An IndiGo flight traveling from Chennai to Mumbai, carrying 172 passengers, made an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport on Saturday morning following a bomb threat.
Emergency Landing
The aircraft landed at Mumbai Airport around 8:45 AM under “full emergency” conditions. Passengers were evacuated using stairs, and IndiGo stated that the crew followed protocol during the landing, with the plane being moved to an isolation bay in accordance with security agency guidelines.
Passengers Safe
IndiGo confirmed that all passengers were safely evacuated and underwent security checks. The aircraft will be returned to service once all security procedures are completed.
Second Bomb Threat Incident
This incident marks the second bomb threat involving an IndiGo flight in the past week. A similar event occurred on May 2.
IndiGo continues to prioritize passenger safety by taking all necessary precautions. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
