Southwind Airlines flight 2S 372 from Samara to Antalya was delayed by approximately 24 hours due to a fake bomb threat made by a drunken tourist. The long wait for passengers, combined with disputes and heightened security measures, turned planned vacations into a nightmare.
The plane was scheduled to take off at 02:45 on the morning of October 19. However, it was first announced that the departure time was postponed to 17:00 due to a drone threat. Shortly after passengers boarded, the crew asked them to return to the terminal. Security forces reported receiving a bomb threat targeting the aircraft.
Investigations revealed that the threat was made by a drunken female passenger who had not been allowed on the plane. According to eyewitnesses, the woman caused a disturbance at the airport after consuming excessive alcohol, argued with other passengers, and overturned trash bins. When she was prevented from boarding, she called the police and filed a fake bomb threat in retaliation.
Security screenings confirmed that no explosives were found on the plane. However, the incident caused the flight to be postponed until 20:00 on the evening of October 19. Due to the delay, some passengers canceled their travel plans. Following the incident, a criminal investigation was launched against the woman who made the false report.
