One of the world’s leading aircraft leasing companies, BOC Aviation, delivered a strong operational performance in 2025, reaching one of the highest transaction volumes in its history. The company closed the year with a 100% fleet utilisation rate and an expanded order book.
BOC Aviation announced its operational results for the fourth quarter and the full year ended 31 December 2025. Throughout the year, the company further strengthened its position in the global aircraft leasing market through high transaction volumes, active portfolio management and a strong financial structure.
BOC Aviation’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Steven Townend, stated that the company delivered a strong performance across the platform throughout 2025, saying: “At BOC Aviation, we further reinforced our position as one of the world’s top five aircraft leasing companies.”
160 New Aircraft Orders, 51 Deliveries
During 2025, BOC Aviation added new aircraft purchase commitments for 160 aircraft to its order book and took delivery of 51 new aircraft. These investments were highlighted as a reflection of the company’s strategy of focusing on technologically advanced aircraft with strong market demand.
As part of its active portfolio management, the company sold 35 owned aircraft during the year, continuing its fleet renewal strategy. Despite these sales, a 100% utilisation rate across the owned fleet was maintained throughout the year.
A Major Portfolio of 815 Aircraft and Engines
As at the end of 2025, BOC Aviation’s total portfolio consisted of 815 assets, including:
- Owned
- Managed
- Ordered aircraft and engines.
The company’s owned fleet of 451 aircraft had an average age of five years, with an average remaining lease term of 7.8 years. The order book included 337 aircraft, while the managed fleet comprised 16 aircraft.
BOC Aviation’s customer base covered 87 airline customers operating across 46 countries and regions.
66 Transactions in the Fourth Quarter
Transaction activity remained strong in the final quarter of 2025. A total of 66 transactions were completed in the fourth quarter, bringing the total number of transactions for the year to 333.
During this period, the company:
- Made commitments to purchase 14 new aircraft,
- Took delivery of 16 aircraft (four of which were purchased by airlines prior to delivery),
As part of portfolio renewal, it sold seven owned aircraft and one managed aircraft.
Leasing activity also remained robust, with 21 lease commitments completed in the fourth quarter and 74 for the full year.
Strong Balance Sheet Supported by USD 4 Billion in Financing
To support its growth and investment strategy, BOC Aviation raised more than USD 4 billion in funding during 2025. This step strengthened the company’s balance sheet while further enhancing its financial flexibility and long-term growth capacity.
Townend emphasised that, supported by its strong portfolio and order book, the company remains highly confident in achieving its long-term growth objectives.
