ASELSAN, the locomotive company of Türkiye’s defence industry, has published its annual report for 2025, described as a “Z report”. The company reached historic thresholds in financial growth, exports, mass production and advanced defence technologies.
By sharing its 2025 annual report with the public, ASELSAN revealed the new levels it has achieved both in its financial performance and in the fields of defence and advanced technologies. According to the report, ASELSAN rose to become the most valuable company on Borsa Istanbul and became the first company in Türkiye to reach a market value of 1 trillion lira.
With this figure, ASELSAN succeeded in entering the world’s top 20 most valuable defence industry companies and Europe’s top 10.
Historic Records: Deliveries, Contracts and Exports
Thanks to investments made in its mass production infrastructure, ASELSAN achieved the highest domestic and international deliveries and the largest contract volumes in the company’s history.
Exporting to 95 countries, ASELSAN further strengthened its identity as a global defence and technology player by reaching a network of offices, subsidiaries and facilities in 25 countries.
Brain Drain Reversed
ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol made striking statements in a video he shared covering the activities that marked 2025. Emphasising that the brain drain had turned positive for the first time, Akyol stated that the number of engineers who returned from abroad and started working at ASELSAN reached 2.5 times the number of engineers who left.
ÇELİKKUBBE, SİPER, KIZILELMA and a Shot That Entered World Aviation History
In 2025, systems developed by ASELSAN achieved critical successes in the field and in tests:
- The first large-scale delivery of ÇELİKKUBBE systems was completed
- The SİPER Long-Range Air Defence System completed acceptance of additional batteries
- Bayraktar KIZILELMA hit the target with full accuracy using the MURAD AESA Nose Radar and the GÖKDOĞAN missile
- World aviation history was made with the first air-to-air missile launch carried out from an unmanned combat aircraft
Breakthroughs in Laser, Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems
- The GÖKBERK Mobile Laser Weapon System proved its effectiveness against FPV and swarm drones
- EJDERHA destroyed swarm drones and moved into the production phase
- The CENK Four-Dimensional Search Radar began to be used in friendly and allied countries
- An electronic warfare export contract was signed with NATO member Poland
National Munition and Guidance Technologies
ASELSAN also surpassed critical thresholds in national munition and guidance systems:
- Very long-range firing tests of the TOLUN munition were successfully carried out
- TOLUN became the first national munition to be released from internal bays from the AKINCI, KIZILELMA and ANKA-III platforms
- The GÖZDE Guidance Kit hit a moving target with pinpoint accuracy in a test conducted from an F-16
- KGK-84 enabled long-range delivery of a one-ton bomb with national guidance
Historic Agreements in Space, Satellites and Communications
- The LUNA-1 IoT satellite was launched with SpaceX Falcon-9
- TÜRKSAT 6A began its mission in space with ASELSAN payloads
- The largest communications export contract in ASELSAN’s history was signed
- The JEMUS Project became active in all 81 provinces
New Concepts on Naval, Land and Air Platforms
- Control of the ALBATROS-S Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicle was achieved from TCG ANADOLU using Bayraktar TB3
- The DÜFAS Sonar System entered mass production
- The first deliveries of ALTAY tanks were completed
- HÜRKUŞ-II made its first flight with the domestically produced ADEN display unit
