Carlisle Bay Antigua, a five-star resort and member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is continuing a multimillion-dollar renovation, with the second phase set to debut in October 2026. Phase One launched in October 2025 with fully renovated Ocean, Bay and Garden Suites. Phase Two will introduce newly reimagined Carlisle Suites and 20 Beach Suites, now known as Signature Beach Suites.
Carlisle Bay Raises the Bar
The new stage introduces a more residential approach to luxury hospitality, with ample living areas, bespoke furnishings and contemporary Caribbean interiors designed to feel like island homes rather than traditional hotel accommodations.
The 2-bedroom Signature Beach Terrace Suites and Signature Beach Balcony Suites take on an aesthetic inspired by Antigua’s sand, sea and sky, with natural fabrics and an airy palette. A second bathroom in each suite makes them suited for extended family and multigenerational travel.
The 3-bedroom Carlisle Suites will each be renamed after Antigua destinations: Rendezvous Bay, Signal Hill, Fig Tree Drive and Great Bird Island. Each suite reflects its namesake through curated color palettes, textures, artwork and handcrafted details, along with timber accents, 4-poster beds, expanded lounge areas and updated finishes.
Interiors across both phases were inspired by Antigua’s light, coastal landscapes and climate, with walnut and teak tones, terracotta accents and sand hues, woven textures and weathered limestone. Furnishings were custom-designed for Carlisle Bay.
As part of the renovation, Carlisle Bay commissioned local artist and gallery owner Sallie Harker of Fig Tree Studio Gallery to create original woodcut artworks for the Carlisle Suites, inspired by traditional rainforest dancers and reflecting the landscape of each suite’s namesake.

This next renovation phase of Carlisle Bay reinforces that commitment by elevating every aspect of the guest experience while remaining deeply connected to the spirit of the Caribbean,” says Cara Doherty, part of the ownership group of Carlisle Bay, in a press statement.
The resort-wide renovation is being delivered in phases, with all guest suites, the Entrance Pavilion and Bar, and Indigo on the Beach scheduled for completion by November 2027. Future enhancements, including continued updates to the resort’s wellness offering, will take place during scheduled annual closures to keep the guest experience uninterrupted.
