Alp Er Tunga Ersoy Appointed as the New General Manager of Jazeera Airways Terminal 5 in Kuwait
One of the leading executives in the Turkish aviation industry, Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, has chosen Kuwait as his new post. Ersoy, who holds the distinction of serving as the Turkish CEO at the highest number of airports internationally, has been appointed General Manager of Terminal 5 (T5) at Kuwait International Airport under Jazeera Airways.
This strategic appointment comes at a pivotal time for Jazeera Airways, with rapid passenger growth and significant terminal investments underway. Company CEO Barathan Pasupathi stated:
“Having our own terminal makes Jazeera Airways unique in the region. While we are expanding T5, we are also planning T6. At the heart of our vision is delivering a seamless, customer-focused terminal experience.”
Since T5’s inauguration, its annual passenger numbers have reached 5 million. Jazeera Airways officials emphasised that with Ersoy’s arrival, the primary objectives include enhancing operational efficiency, expanding infrastructure, and raising service quality.
Commenting on his new role, Ersoy said:
“I will be managing operational and commercial strategies during the expansion of T5 and the construction of T6. My aim is to improve the passenger experience and set a new standard in air travel.”
With over 25 years of experience in international airport management, ground services, and customer service, Ersoy previously served as CEO of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. His experience and vision position him as the “right leader” for T5 and the future T6.
