AJet Completes Its Second Year: 28 new routes in 18 countries
AJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has reached its second year following its first flight on March 31, 2024. AJet has demonstrated significant growth performance in both domestic and international routes in a short time.
Since its establishment, AJet has pursued growth in international routes as a strategic goal, adding new destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Turkic Republics, and North Africa within two years. AJet has rapidly expanded its network by opening 28 new routes in 18 countries over the course of two years.
As of 2026, AJet will operate flights to a total of 106 destinations—39 domestic and 67 international. Continuing its operations from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa airports, AJet has positioned Milas-Bodrum Airport as its third main base for the 2026 summer season. Within this scope, a total of 23 destinations will be served with direct flights from Bodrum, both domestic and international.
Carried 42.5 Million Passengers
As an affordable airline, AJet has become a preferred brand since its establishment. Over the two-year period, AJet carried a total of 42.5 million passengers, including 14.5 million on domestic routes and 28 million on international routes. A target of 25 million passengers has been set for 2026.
A strengthened and younger fleet in 2 years
Modernising its fleet with factory-new next-generation aircraft, AJet has added 18 new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to its fleet over the past 8 months. A total of 46 new aircraft, including Boeing 737-8 MAX and Airbus NEO types, are planned to join the fleet in 2026. The factory-new aircraft equipped with domestically developed Miligram seats began operations as of August 2025.
Rise in Operational Performance
AJet has also shown remarkable progress in operational efficiency. Its on-time departure performance, which was 75% in 2024, rose to 80% in 2025 and reached 87% as of March 2026. This rate is above the Eurocontrol average covering European airspace.
Placing flight safety at the centre of all its operations, AJet successfully passed IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) within its second year and became an IATA member. During this period, AJet also received the “Four-Star Low-Cost Airline” award from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) for the second time.
AJET 3RD YEAR TARGETS
Currently operating with a fleet of 85 aircraft, AJet’s fleet will consist of 76% next-generation aircraft in 2026 with the addition of 46 factory-new aircraft.
With new routes to be launched, AJet will operate flights to 106 destinations in 36 countries in 2026, and to 199 destinations in 56 countries in 2033.
Through an agreement signed with Türksat, AJet aircraft will provide uninterrupted high-speed internet access via Türksat satellites.
