AJet Receives Second Factory-Fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX – 45 New Aircraft on the Way by 2027
AJet continues to accelerate its investments in next-generation aircraft. The company’s Boeing 737-8 MAX registered TC-OHB departed the USA after completing its delivery process and is heading to Turkey. The aircraft is expected to land at Sabiha Gökçen Airport around midday on August 13.
This delivery follows the recent arrival of AJet’s first factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX registered TC-OHA, which reached Sabiha Gökçen Airport on August 9. By the end of August, the aircraft registered TC-OHC and TC-OHD are also planned to arrive in Istanbul.
Domestic Seat Equipment
The newly delivered Boeing 737-8 MAX planes will be equipped with locally produced aircraft seats manufactured by TCI. These seats stand out for their lightweight design and high comfort features, and their installation will take place at Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
Kerem Sarp: “We will grow our fleet with next-generation aircraft”
AJet CEO Kerem Sarp commented on the new aircraft investments:
“Our fleet investments are shaped by our goals to increase passenger satisfaction and achieve sustainable operations. With the Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, we are reducing the average age of our fleet, increasing fuel efficiency, and cutting carbon emissions. Deliveries of new generation aircraft that started in 2025 will continue through the end of the year. By summer 2026, the majority of our fleet will consist of next-generation aircraft.”
Scheduled Flights Starting in September
Featuring modern technology, low fuel consumption, and eco-friendly engines, the Boeing 737-8 MAX planes will enter AJet’s scheduled flight services starting September 2025. These new aircraft will enhance passenger comfort while supporting environmental sustainability goals.
Major Fleet Transformation Program
Between 2025 and 2027, AJet aims to add a total of 45 factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to its fleet. This comprehensive fleet renewal is a cornerstone of the company’s vision for innovative and economical air transport.
