AJet Launches New European Routes with the “Ankara+ (Plus)” Project

AJet has launched direct flights from Ankara to Madrid and Barcelona. With its “Ankara+” project, the airline plans to expand its international network to key cities across Europe and the Middle East by 2026.

AJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, continues its growth in international routes by adding Madrid and Barcelona, the capital and one of the most popular cities of Spain, to its direct flight network from Ankara.

AJet’s first direct flight between Ankara and Madrid took place yesterday, while the Ankara–Barcelona flights have also commenced. In this way, AJet has expanded its international network by directly connecting the capital city Ankara with two major European destinations.

“We Are Connecting Ankara with the Capitals of the World”

Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines (THY) and AJet, stated that AJet considers international expansion as a strategic goal within the scope of its “Ankara+ (Plus)” project, saying:

“As the airline operating the most domestic and international flights from Ankara, we are building air bridges between our capital and the capitals of the world.”

Bolat also emphasised that AJet plans to add Aleppo, Bucharest, Sofia, Rome, Milan, Brussels, Athens, Zurich, Sulaymaniyah, and Yerevan to its flight network by the end of 2026.
