A significant step is being taken to strengthen airline cooperation in the region. Air Montenegro and Turkish Airlines (THY) are preparing to formalize a codeshare partnership that will expand the flight networks of both carriers. The new agreement will offer passengers more destination choices, uninterrupted connections with a single ticket, and coordinated flight schedules.
Through this collaboration, both airlines will be able to sell seats on each other’s flights, creating a stronger air bridge between the Balkans and Turkey.
“New agreements will enhance our country’s connectivity”
Radislav Milošević, a senior executive at Air Montenegro, highlighted the positive progress of talks with THY during the “Bridging Destinations: Montenegro 2025” panel:
“We have solid cooperation with other regional airlines as well, and we plan to sign agreements that will further increase our country’s connectivity.”
Milošević also stated that the airline is preparing to launch new destinations for the upcoming summer season, with particular attention to expanding flights to Belgrade.
A Wider Connection Network for Passengers
Once the codeshare agreement is formalized:
- Air Montenegro passengers will gain access to THY’s global flight network.
- THY passengers will be able to reach Montenegro’s tourist and business hubs more easily.
- A single ticket, single check-in, and coordinated connection times will provide a more seamless travel experience.
