Increase in Tabriz–Baku Flight Frequency
The General Directorate of East Azerbaijan Province Airports in Iran has announced that starting from 3 September, a new airline will launch services on the Tabriz–Baku route. With the addition of these flights, the connection between the two cities will be further strengthened.
New Flights on the Tabriz–Baku Route
According to Oxu.Az, citing Azad Iran, from 3 September 2025 a new airline will begin operating flights on the Tabriz–Baku route, in addition to the existing services.
These flights will be operated from Tabriz International Airport on Sundays and Wednesdays.
AZAL Currently Operates the Route
At present, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) operates flights on this route. With the entry of a new airline, the flight frequency between the two cities is expected to increase, offering passengers more choice and flexibility.
A Strategic Step in Regional Connectivity
The increase in flights between Tabriz and Baku will contribute to the economic, cultural, and tourism ties between the two countries. It will particularly improve convenience for business and leisure travellers.
