New Air Corridor T916 Enhances International Transportation

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have launched a new air corridor, T916, aimed at improving flight routes between Europe and Southeast Asia. According to information announced by the Kazakhstan Civil Aviation Committee on July 22, traffic along this strategic corridor is expected to increase by the end of the summer season.

T916: A New Era for Air Transportation

Since its establishment, the new air corridor T916 has hosted only 19 flights, but it is expected to play a significant role in international air travel. The corridor spans a total length of 2,187 kilometers, with 437 kilometers passing through Uzbek airspace and 1,750 kilometers over Kazakhstan.

Airlines Using T916

The airlines utilizing the T916 corridor include Lufthansa Cargo (Germany), Cargolux (Luxembourg), Cargolux Italia (Italy), Nomad Aviation (Switzerland), Western Global Airlines (USA), and Aerologic Cargo Airlines (Germany).

Strategic Launch

This new air traffic route was initiated based on the recommendation of the State Unitary Enterprise Center UzAeroNavigation, Uzbekistan’s air navigation service provider, and has been included in the preferred route catalog of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
