AJET Airlines, which operated the Van-Ankara flight, left passengers’ luggage in Van after a delayed landing, causing outrage among the travelers.
Issues with Flight Services and High Ticket Prices
The recent incident highlights the ongoing issues faced by Van residents regarding inadequate flight services, exorbitant ticket prices, and frequent flight cancellations. The latest event underscores the severity of these problems once again.
Delayed Landing and Forgotten Luggage
Passengers flying from Van to Ankara experienced a 2.5-hour delay before finally landing in Ankara. The situation worsened when passengers discovered that their luggage had been left behind in Van. The travelers were shocked and furious upon learning this.
Public Outcry
One Van resident, businessman Feridun Irak, expressed his frustration: “What happened yesterday on the AJET Van-Ankara 21:05 flight is unacceptable. The plane taxied to the runway and then returned to the parking area, eventually landing in Ankara after a 2.5-hour delay. Now, get this: all the passengers’ luggage was left in Van. This is beyond disgraceful. A close friend’s entire family was on this flight for his son’s wedding in Eskişehir. Now they’re there, but all their belongings and gifts are stuck in Van.”
This incident has added to the growing frustration among Van residents, who are already struggling with the region’s flight service issues.
