Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, General Manager of Almaty International Airport, is leaving his position to continue his career outside the group.
Departure from Almaty International Airport
Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, who has been serving as the General Manager of Almaty International Airport operated by TAV Airports, will step down on June 16. Ersoy was appointed to this position in September 2021, after TAV Airports took over the operation of Almaty in April 2021, and has held the role for nearly three years.
Departure Following Completion of New Terminal Investment
Ersoy will leave his position following the completion and commencement of operations at the new terminal investment at Almaty Airport. TAV Airports announced that there will be a change in senior management following the completion of the new terminal investment in Kazakhstan’s Almaty Airport.
Göker Köse to Become the New General Manager
Following Ersoy’s departure, Göker Köse will take over as Acting General Manager on June 17 and will be officially appointed after the completion of formal procedures. Köse, who has 19 years of industry experience, is a graduate of the Middle East Technical University’s Economics Department and holds an MBA from Boğaziçi University. He joined TAV Airports in 2005 and has worked on various projects, gaining extensive experience in financial planning. Most recently, Köse served as Director of Investments and Financial Planning at Groupe ADP.
Alp Er Tunga Ersoy’s New Position: CEO of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport
Alp Er Tunga Ersoy’s new role has been revealed. Ersoy will become the new CEO of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (ISG). This change in ISG’s CEO follows the end of the partnership with IC Holding. Ersoy’s appointment is expected to be officially announced on Friday.
