Trabzon Airport, efforts are underway to complete the construction of the new international arrivals terminal before the upcoming tourism season. Dr. Sezgin Mumcu, the AK Party’s Provincial Chairman in Trabzon, mentioned that they are working diligently to increase the city’s tourism potential.
Covering an Area of 2,800 Square Meters with Modern Facilities
Dr. Mumcu stated that the new terminal is being constructed on an area of 2,800 square meters and when completed, it will elevate the airport’s modernity to a higher level. The facilities to be included in the terminal are listed as follows:
- 6 car rental offices
- 1 duty-free shop
- 1 cafeteria
- 1 buffet
- 1 currency exchange bureau
- 2 lost property offices
- 2 lost property rooms
- 2 deportee passenger rooms
- 2 quarantine rooms
- 8 administrative offices
With a Capacity of 1.5 Million Passengers and State-of-the-Art Systems
Once completed, the new international arrivals terminal will have the capacity to serve 1.5 million passengers annually. Dr. Mumcu emphasized that the terminal will be equipped with state-of-the-art systems to provide better services to passengers.”
