One of Türkiye’s young airline brands, AJet attracted attention with its operational performance during the Eid al-Adha holiday period. Despite the increased passenger traffic during the holiday, the company achieved a high on-time departure rate, raising its operational success above the European average.
In a statement made by AJet Press Counselor Mehmet Yeşilkaya, it was announced that the intense traffic process between May 24-31 was managed smoothly, while the company’s on-time departure performance (OTP) reached 90 percent.
Strong Operational Performance During Holiday Traffic
Stating that there was heavy demand on both domestic and international routes throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday, Mehmet Yeşilkaya emphasized that AJet once again demonstrated its operational capability.
Yeşilkaya stated:
“We experienced the pride of delivering our guests to their loved ones on time during Eid al-Adha. As AJet, despite the intense traffic experienced on our domestic and international routes between May 24-31, covering the Eid al-Adha holiday period, we once again demonstrated our operational strength.”
On-Time Departure Performance Reached 90 Percent
Yeşilkaya stated that AJet achieved a 90 percent on-time departure performance during the holiday period and emphasized that transporting passengers safely and according to the planned schedule was the primary goal.
Performance Above the European Average
The company’s overall operational data for May also drew attention. According to the announced figures, AJet’s on-time departure performance for May 2026 was recorded at 87 percent.
This rate was above the Eurocontrol regional average.
