11,000 Square Feet: JetBlue’s New BlueHouse Lounge At Boston Logan Nears Opening

The long-awaited JetBlue Airways BlueHouse lounge at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is nearing its opening, bringing the airline’s second dedicated airport lounge to its largest hub. The massive facility is expected to open in late August or early September, according to an update from One Mile At A Time, after months of construction and preparation.

The Boston lounge will be located in Terminal C near Gate C23 and is substantially larger than JetBlue’s first BlueHouse at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The project is part of JetBlue’s broader effort to strengthen its premium offering and give its TrueBlue loyalty program a more substantial airport benefit.

BlueHouse BOS will measure approximately 11,000 square feet (1,022 square meters), exceeding the roughly 9,000-square-foot (836 square meters) facility JetBlue opened at JFK in December 2025. As a result, the Boston location will become the larger of the airline’s two lounges. The size difference matters most at Logan, where JetBlue has a significant operational presence. The airline has described Boston as one of the central markets for its premium strategy, making a dedicated lounge a natural extension of its network rather than simply another airport amenity.

JetBlue originally announced the Boston and New York lounges in 2024. The airline initially targeted a 2025 opening for both locations, but the Boston project was subsequently delayed. The latest update says construction is essentially complete, with an employee walkthrough scheduled for August 25 before the facility opens to customers.

JetBlue has positioned BlueHouse as more than a conventional waiting area. The concept is intended to provide dedicated spaces for working, relaxing, and socializing, with amenities designed around longer stays before departure. The Boston lounge will also feature a full-service bar and coffee stations. The airline previously said its lounges would include complimentary food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Private workspaces, high-speed WiFi and comfortable seating are also part of the concept.

JetBlue has emphasized that BlueHouse locations should reflect their respective cities rather than use an identical design. That approach was already evident at JFK, where the lounge uses an apartment-inspired aesthetic with Art Deco details and locally influenced artwork.

The Boston facility is consequently expected to have its own character while retaining the broader BlueHouse identity. Its expansive footprint should also provide more room for distinct zones, rather than concentrating passengers in a single seating area.

Once approved, the transformation could begin as soon as next year.

The opening comes as JetBlue increasingly invests in premium products after spending much of its history differentiating itself through relatively generous economy offerings. The airline has been expanding its premium proposition through Mint, BlueHouse lounges and, later in 2026, its new BlueFirst domestic first-class product. The lounge strategy also has a loyalty component. JetBlue has said BlueHouse will increase the value of its TrueBlue program as the airline expands its credit card portfolio and develops additional premium benefits. Mosaic members can already receive access to the JFK BlueHouse with a guest under the program’s current benefits.

Boston is an especially important location for that strategy because of JetBlue’s large presence at Logan. A dedicated facility gives frequent customers a reason to value the airline’s loyalty ecosystem more than schedule and price alone. The timing also places JetBlue’s lounge directly within Boston Logan’s increasingly competitive premium environment. The airport already has lounges operated by airlines and credit card brands, while additional premium facilities are planned.

BlueHouse BOS therefore represents more than the arrival of another airport lounge. Its opening will give JetBlue a physical premium presence at one of its most important airports and provide a tangible test of whether the airline’s broader strategy can turn lounge access, loyalty benefits, and upgraded onboard products into a stronger reason for customers to choose JetBlue.
