The Aircraft Technicians’ Association (UTED) successfully represented Türkiye at two major global aviation events in 2025: MRO Americas and the World Aviation Training Summit (WATS). Aimed at closely following innovations in the aviation maintenance sector, strengthening international collaborations, and increasing the global visibility of Turkish technicians, this participation made a significant contribution to UTED’s sectoral vision.
In today’s world, where competition in the global aviation industry is rapidly increasing, having an active presence on the international stage is more critical than ever. Acting with this awareness, UTED took a determined step in 2025 to showcase Türkiye’s aviation maintenance competencies and the professional quality of its technicians to a global audience.
UTED’s representation at MRO Americas and WATS 2025 was carried out by the Association’s Vice President, M. Murat Baştürk, and Financial Secretary, Cenk Can. The meetings and contacts made during these events not only enhanced UTED’s international reputation but also paved the way for the flow of knowledge and experience that will guide the professional development of Turkish technicians.
UTED is resolutely continuing its efforts to integrate the gains achieved at these events into the sector, aiming to equip Turkish technicians with competencies at international standards.

Assessing the process, UTED President Ömür Caninsan stated:
“Throughout its 56-year history, UTED has remained one of the strongest cornerstones of Turkish civil aviation with dozens of administrations and thousands of members. In our growing sector, it is impossible to progress with a narrow vision by remaining a mere spectator to developments around the world.
In 2024, alongside our UTED Magazine, which we have published continuously for 46 years, we launched UTED International to represent us on the global stage. It is a source of pride for all of us that we achieved a professional publishing standard with the first issue.
The seeds we have sown are beginning to sprout. Now that we are being invited to events as a media outlet, it is a strong sign of our growth. When we compare the quality of our work to that of our international peers, I can confidently say that we are clearly ahead.
We carry out every project with patience and care. We have worked tirelessly in the face of obstacles and stood firmly behind our words. We will continue on our path with the same belief and ideal. Turkish technicians should rest assured; the vision we establish today will become the powerful mission of tomorrow. We will work relentlessly to ensure that Turkish Aircraft Maintenance Technicians attain the position they deserve both domestically and internationally. UTED will become even stronger with the new generation of colleagues to whom we will pass the torch.”
