Israel and the United States carried out a joint air operation against Iran. More than 500 targets were struck with 200 fighter jets, triggering widespread clashes across the region.

Tensions Escalate in the Middle East: Claim of a Historic Operation

The Israeli Army announced that more than 500 targets were struck with approximately 200 fighter jets during the air operation against Iran. The operation was described by Israel as “the largest military flight display in its history,” and footage of the operation was shared on social media accounts.

The joint operation by the US and Israel effectively pulled the region into a line of fire at a time when negotiation processes were ongoing. The targets were spread across more than 10 Iranian cities, primarily Tehran.

200 Aircraft, 500 Targets: Details of the Operation

According to information provided by the Israeli Army:

  • Approximately 200 fighter jets conducted simultaneous operations in western and central Iran.
  • Targets included missile launchers and advanced air defense systems belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
  • More than 500 locations were struck at the same time.
  • Israel stated that the operation aimed to establish air superiority over Iranian airspace and act in line with “precise intelligence.”

Strikes and Retaliation: The Region Under Fire

In the morning hours, Israel and the US launched joint attacks against Iran. The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the operation against Iran was a “pre-emptive strike.” US President Donald Trump stated that a “major operation” had been carried out against Iran.

Within the scope of the attacks, the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Shiraz, Bushehr, Kermanshah and Ilam were targeted. Israeli and Iranian airspace were closed, a state of emergency was declared in Israel and sirens sounded. The public was directed to shelters.

Iran’s Retaliation and Regional Impact

The Iranian army launched counterattacks against Israel with dozens of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in response to the attacks by the US and Israel.

In addition, Iran targeted US bases in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan. The US naval base in Bahrain was reported to have been struck.
