Universal has added another major horror franchise to this year’s Halloween Horror Nights lineup, announcing an all-new haunted house inspired by the first three “Hellraiser” films at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The attraction debuts Aug. 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Sept. 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Clive Barker’s Franchise Joins Halloween Horror Nights
Based on the cult-classic franchise created by Clive Barker, the haunted house will recreate scenes from three “Hellraiser” films. Guests will journey through locations featured in the films and encounter the franchise’s iconic Cenobites, including Pinhead. Actor Doug Bradley, who originated the role of Pinhead, reprises the character by providing the voice for the attraction at both parks.
According to Universal, guests will enter through the infamous Lament Configuration puzzle box before making their way through environments including Frank Cotton’s attic, the Channard Institute and the Labyrinth, where Pinhead and the Cenobites await.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando runs select nights from Aug. 28 through Nov. 1, while the Hollywood event takes place on select nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1.
Tickets are now on sale for both events. Universal Orlando also plans to offer its four Frequent Fear Pass options—Rush of Fear, Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus and Ultimate Fear—allowing repeat visits throughout the season.
Universal has indicated that additional haunted houses and event details will be announced in the coming weeks.
