Turkish Airlines (THY) has clarified the allegations in the public regarding the Rome flight of Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his delegation. THY stated that the mentioned trip was conducted not on a scheduled flight but through a charter method.
In the statement, it was noted: “We would like to clarify the claims that a scheduled flight was allocated for the Rome flight of Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu and his delegation. The trip to Rome of Mr. Mayor and his delegation did not take place on a scheduled flight, but a Boeing-737 aircraft was chartered upon request to Turkish Airlines. There is no situation where a scheduled flight was allocated to a special delegation. It is respectfully announced to the public”.”
