Turkish Airlines is looking for experienced First Officer candidates with type ratings for the B737 aircraft. Applicants must meet the following general and technical qualifications:
General Qualifications:
- Born after January 1, 1974
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- No written penalties for flight failures or disciplinary issues
- No criminal record or criminal archive record
- Possession of an Event/Incident Declaration
- Willing to reside at the main base designated by the company
- No prior dismissals from Turkish Airlines Inc. or other organizations due to disciplinary reasons
- No separation from Turkish Airlines Inc. and its affiliates due to contract termination
Technical Qualifications:
- Hold an EASA/FAA/ICAO CPL/IR (A) with ATPL theoretical credit or an ATPL (A) with a valid type rating for the applied aircraft type
- Minimum of 1500 hours total flight time on the B737 aircraft type, excluding simulator hours (minimum 1000 hours for candidates with an EASA license)
- Minimum of 250 flight hours on the applied aircraft type within the last 12 months, excluding simulator hours
Language Requirements:
- Minimum ICAO Level 4 in English
Health Requirements:
1. Pilot Recruitment Health Criteria:

2. Current ‘Fit to Fly’ Health Report:
- Candidates must obtain a report from Aviation Medical Centers authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, confirming their fitness to fly by the last day of the evaluation process.
- Turkish Airlines workplace doctors may request additional medical examinations and visits according to internal procedures.
- Turkish Airlines reserves the right to hire or not hire an applicant based on compliance with health requirements. Applicants will not have any right to claim if they are not hired.
Evaluation Processes for Foreign Pilots:
- Document Check: Verification of logbook, licenses, diploma, passport, etc.
- Group Evaluation: Group assessment to determine non-technical pilot competencies.
- Simulator Test: Simulator evaluation, including pre-flight briefing, flight assessment, and post-flight debriefing.
- Panel Interview: Interview conducted by HR specialists and captain pilots, including questions about candidates’ backgrounds, experiences, and technical knowledge.
- Medical Evaluation: Candidates will be sent to a private hospital for a comprehensive health check, with expenses covered by Turkish Airlines.
